Infuse 4 for Apple TV - Now Available

When Apple first announced the new Apple TV in September we couldn't help but do a little happy dance. A powerful new device with an official App Store - what more could we ask for? There was just one thing missing - a great way to enjoy videos without having to jump through any silly hoops like converting or transcoding.

Well, the wait is over, and the all-new version of Infuse for the new Apple TV has arrived. We've taken many of the same great features we perfected in Infuse for iOS and reimagined them for the big screen. The end result is a beautiful, powerful, and simple way to enjoy a wide array of videos on the Apple TV.

And now, without further ado, we give you Infuse 4 for Apple TV.

Play just about anything

Infuse supports a massive array of video types, and is the only player on Apple TV that allows movies to be heard the way they were meant to be, with full support for Dolby (AC3) and DTS audio...with surround sound passthrough of course. Wink

simple organization

Get organized, automagically

Point Infuse at where your videos are stored and it will get to work cataloging your movies, TV shows, and other videos in seconds - adding all pertinent details and artwork along the way. Now deciding what to watch has never been easier.

High-performance player

Enjoy silky smooth video playback with efficient HW decoding, plus intuitive options for multiple audio tracks, video zoom, and awesome subtitle support powered by OpenSubtitles with a host of customization options.

Native trakt.tv sync

Not only is trakt a great way to keep tabs on your watched history, Pro users can also use trakt to keep playback progress in sync between multiple devices (both tvOS and iOS). Start watching a movie on your iPad, then finish it on your TV - Infuse will keep everything in sync, automatically.

Stream from just about anywhere

Wherever your media is stored, Infuse can stream it. That includes a Mac, PC, NAS, wireless drive, or a server app like Plex, Kodi, or Serviio. Any local devices will be detected in seconds making setup a snap.

Yes, your heard that right! As an early Christmas present, we're making Infuse 4 for Apple TV a free upgrade for all current Infuse for iOS users (v3 or later). Infuse 4 for iOS will also follow as a free update later this year.

There are 2 ways to download Infuse.

Thanks!

We're so incredibly grateful for people like you who have supported us up to this point. It's a great privilege and honor to be able to touch so many people with the things we create, and without you none of this would be possible. We think you're going to love this new release so I hope you check out everything that's new in Infuse 4. Also, this 4.0 release is just the start, and we have a whole pile of exciting additions we're working to have available very soon.

Infuse 4 for Apple TV Coming Soon

As you can imagine, it's been a very busy fall here, to say the least. However, we're now (finally!) starting to see a beautiful bright light at the end of the tunnel, and that light is coming into form as Infuse 4 for Apple TV. We think what we've made is really great and we can't wait to share it with you very soon.

We're also happy to announce that Infuse 4 for Apple TV will be a free update for all current (v3) Infuse Pro users.

Infuse for Apple TV (beta)

Emails are being sent out today to all those who made it into the beta group (be sure to check your spam folder - just in case). The amount of interest we received for the Infuse beta was truly staggering, and unfortunately while we'd love to accommodate everyone, there are limits to how many beta testers TestFlight will allow us to have. If you don't get an email today, you can expect to use the official version of Infuse very soon.

Thanks again, and keep an eye on this space for updates.

Update 11/10: Following Apple's announcement today that increases the TestFlight limit from 1,000 to 2,000 testers, we've sent out a second round of beta emails. While we still can't accomodate everyone, we can at least get it into the hands of a few more people. Smile

Update 11/17: The first beta of Infuse 4 for Apple TV has been sent out to beta testers! Please share feedback in the beta thread in our disussion forum.

Update 11/20: The second beta of Infuse 4 for Apple TV has been released! Change notes can be found here.

Update 11/23: The third beta of Infuse 4 for Apple TV has been released!

Happy Apple TV Pre-Order Day!

It may not be a national holiday (yet) but the new Apple TV is now available for pre-order! If you're anything like us, you're already ordered more than one, but if not, drop what you're doing and go get yours now!

We were fortunate enough to receive one of the first pre-release units, and have been putting in long hours every day since. To date, we've made some great progress, but still have some work to do and are hoping to have this great new version of Infuse available on the App Store later this year.

New Apple TV

Infuse for Apple TV (beta)

We're planning to open up a small beta group once we get a bit closer to release, and if you are interested in being a part of this please feel free to sign up. This beta will help us fine tune some features, and track down any show-stopping bugs before they get to the App Store.

Thanks again, and keep an eye on this space for updates.
