When I tried to update mine with the new jailbreak, got a unknown error (2009) and then tried it several times on Mac Snow, XP and WIN7 and now I cant even get the regular image to work. MY Apple TV is hosed, sent on a bug report/service request (yesterday) but haven't heard anything yet.
I guess the question is whether you are really managing to restore the correct .ipsw file? How are you selecting which one to use? What OS are you running SP on (I am using Windows).

Win7 64Bit, and I don't select any file. After SP is done iTunes open automatically and I just pres restore.

Step 5: iTunes will open automatically and start the restore process.
I use the Shift-Restore option and then browse to My Documents/SeasonPass to find the file that Seasonpass created (the one with '_SP' as part of the name). The fact that you are not apparently getting the Jailbreak to work suggest that for some reason you may not be restoring the correct .ipsw file?

Maybe, I will try it your way, thanks for the hint.
Edit: Thanks again, this was my fault. They should update there tutorial!
okay I'm having a problem with the latest season pass or maybee it's itunes.. does the ispw and then launches itunes automagically. selects the ipsw puts it on but itunes says it's not eligable for a restore.. also I'm see two apple tv in the itunes windows
Shit, I already jailbreaked my apple TV and everything worked fine. But I had to do it again.... Now i run seasonpass and it runs and installs the firmware via iTunes and it looks good, like before. But when I now try to connect via ssh it says:

Cannot get Remote HD app to see and connect to my atv anymore.
Also, if I exit the screensaver I get a black screen (no signal) and the only solution is 'killall AppleTV' through Terminal.
Anyone having those same issues?
Yes, I have the same problem. It seems like my tv lost the signal as well when I terminate screensaver. ATV is still running. I can’t see anything, but a combination of menu, right and down presses on the remote takes me to ”sleep now” in the ”settings meny”. Then I can wake up ATV by hitting the middle button and the picture is back.

Having the same problem. Comes after installing aTV Flash. Have tried restoring the ATV and then JB (not seeing the problem) and installing aTV Flash. The problem is recurring every time and the only solution is a reboot of the ATV.
Hi,
I jailbreaked my appleTV updated to 4.3 8F455.
Now I cannot connect via ssh using the typical ssh root@myappletvIP, it gives the error that somebody said before.
If you get error 1601-1602 unplug the power cable after seasonpass detects the DFU mode.

What I found it comes down to is the cable you are using is no good. I got a good quality cable after having bought 4 or 5 cheap ones and it worked like there was never a problem. They say it alot but it is true. Get a new cable.
What should I do next in order to get an access to movies on my PC (Windows XP)? I have no idea how to proceed after the jailbreak
Have you bought ATV Flash (black)? If so you should next install that which will add a Maintenance menu. That menu will give you the option to install the Media Player which is used to play movies off your local network.

No, I did not purchase it. I was sure that ordinary jailbreak would be enough. So there is not other way to jailbreak iOS 4.3 (2557) only by purchasing special software? Plus I am not sure that they have it for PC.

Funny I see the pc version available to me it's the xp one I think but should jump to 7.
still not able to use mine calling apple monday need to get a box I plug in ethernet and it's not lighting up the modem tried changing cables etc... no luck must be whcked
Not sure what you mean by ATV Flash (black) is not yet ready for PC - I installed it from my PC.
However if ou have not got ATV flash, then it is still possible to watch movies from the local network using XBMC. In this case, after doing the jailbreak you have to establish a ssh command line session itch the Appe TV; install the nitoTV package from the command line, and then from that you can install the XBMC package via the nitoTV menu item. I do not have to hand the details of establishing the ssh session and manually installing nitoTV, but it should be easy enough to find them via Google.
Same on here... SSH and aTV Flash not working, after JB with new Seas0nPass Version.
Remote HD has just been updated to 4.3.5; now it works with 8F455 and SP jailbreak!
The screensaver glitch I had now seems mysteriously gone, also.

How can we JB 4.3 (8F455)? There is still no error when JB with the newest SP version, but it's not working. SSH and ATV Flash also does not work.
It works fine for me!

aTV Flash is now working.
4.3 and 8F457, I can confirm that you can use Seas0npass and then on reboot looks exactly the same.... confusing as hell as every other
guide shows the seas0npass menu ... then run ATV and you will have a Maintenance menu far to the right (well done firecore, nice subtle integration
is MUCH better), then do you installs and such from there.
just jb'd it so I cannot confirm or deny reliability.
