i only have apple tv for Infuse. hands down the best app for my family. while i like plex, Infuse plays just about anything (still dont understand why it doesnt play mp3 or FLAC). whereas Plex, needs transcoding for a lot of my vids.

Considering it doesn't seem they plan to bring infuse to Android... does anyone know a similar program with this required features:
* Be able to access to google drive
* Be able to read metadata from movies
* Be able to cast to chromecast

I have an unlimited google drive account with all my movies on it, and Infuse for iphone / apple tv is clearly the best app ever, but trying to find something similar for android is almost impossilbe. Plex doesn't works because it needs a server, and Kodi, which seems quite good, does strange things with google drive, having to generate some files internaly to "cheat" the program and be able to show covers.

It has to be something similar to infuse for Android, so any help would be appreciated.

Hopefully they finally realize that the best option is to bring infuse to Android, since they wont have competence.

I think MrMC is a direct competitor to Infuse, works on iOS and Android, worth a shot. Might not look as nice, but seems that it is a good work around.

MrMC is good for Android TV but its not mobile friendly like infuse , please we need Infuse on Android very badly I've been patiently waiting for years.

As stated further up..... mrmc is nothing but a skin for kodi, and as others have stated, isn't near as good as infuse. I will admit that mrmc has a clean interface, but that is where the pluses end.

This thread is approaching six year old. It's clear that Infuse have no plans to provide a version for Android. It's a damn shame as it is far and away better that Kodi and derivatives. I would buy it in a heartbeat for my Shield. I use MrMc which is OK but still not as slick and clean as Infuse.

TBH Infuse appearing on Android TV is as likely as Apple enabling bitstream passthrough on the ATV!

The problem with android is it’s a nightmare to support. There are too many hardware configurations and manufacturers add their own stupid tweaks to stock android. You’d probably have more luck petitioning for a infuse hardware option much like OSMC and their vero boxes.

Ok maybe limit the request to Android TV such as the Nvidia Shield . An awesome box that would be enhanced with Infuse especially as there is no restriction on audio!!

Well,

As Infuse user since its first release, I'm here to ask you to REALLY consider to port Infuse to Android TV.

Apple TV is the core of my entertainment system but, since it doesn't support Dolby Atmos passthrough, I have to switch to Nvidia Shield TV Pro and no any other player in the world can compete with Infuse.

So please, developer team, make it happen. Thanks.

This refers to lossy Atmos. The reason we are desperate to have Infuse on Android TV is to enjoy lossless Dolby Atmos and DTS:X

Thank you for that article, anyway I read this note: “Apple TV 4K uses a high bandwidth form of Dolby Atmos that doesn’t work over ARC connections.“ It seems a really stupid nonsense.

Looking at the threads on this forum two of the most read and commented on are getting lossless audio support on ATV 4K (never going to happen) and request to port Infuse to Android. Seems to me that Infuse would clean up if they brought this to Android. It would leave MrMc etc in the dust.
