Crashes happen whenever maximum ram is exceeded which unfortunately is only 256MB on the ATV2. To avoid this try the following. 1) Clear cache 2) Stream videos in SD rather than HD 3) Switch from either 13.1 or 13.2 back to 12.3 since Gotham tends to use more ram than Frodo.

I had a feeling it had something to do with the ram but other units I have programmed work fine. Only some crash.

your thumbnails might also be filling up your ssd on the apple, you might want to see how much space you have left on the drive

did you set the advanced settings cachemembuffer to 0? this really sounds like a ram issue….
