Maximum External Hard Drive Size

Does anybody know with any certainty if there is a maximum external HDD size ATV will accept? I invested in a Drobo Pro…Nice drive I guess when it does what I want it to do.
I’ve got 6x2TB on it with dual redundancy so I’m left with 7(ish). I’ve flashed ATV, formatted the drive to NTFS, ran all the installers etc, but it just will not find it. I tested it out by mounting it over ethernet…I had issues with that so just went for a direct USB plugin and it wont find it.

If its just not doable…I’ll be pissed, but at least I will know and not spend endless hours trying to figure it out :geek:

Any help would be greatly appreciated guys.

ATV does not support NTFS drives, as explained here: http://wiki.atvflash.com/index.php?title=Windows_External_Drive

If you are using a PC, you could format it as FAT32 but that has some kind of size limit that I can’t remember. Maybe 2 TB? I’m a total Windows user so not sure how you would format the drive as a Mac drive, but that would presumably solve your problem.
