Hi there,

Over the last couple of weeks or so I’ve noticed a lag issue as follows.

I start playing a file and audio/video is in sync. After about 15 minutes I notice the audio is maybe a half second behind. I then stop the file, go back to the previous screen, press play again and then the sound is in super slow motion almost like someone is talking really slowly. So I then force quit the app, start again and it’s fine for a short time before the whole process starts again.

This is on the Apple TV. I’ve sent the logs and an email with the code that appeared on screen. I’ve also tried to film the issue so you can hear what I mean. Let me know if I should send that to you too.

Can you help please?

We've addressed one reported case of this for the 5.8.5 update. This particular issue was related to certain videos containing multiple audio track formats (EG 5.1 and 2.0), so this may be worth trying with this video to see if it helps.

Thanks for the reply James. Some of the files this is happening to only have the one audio track.

Sorry, I should have been more clear.

The case we've seen of this is when a video has a single audio track that switches back and forth between 2.0 and 5.1. This seems to be somewhat common with recorded TV.
