Hi all,

I have a huge movie library and I want to set it up to work perfectly either with Infuse & Kodi & Plex.

My problem is that every software have a specific best practice naming conventions, which means that I have to have more files into each movie folder in order to work.

All my movies are organized into a Movie Folder, with a subfolder for each movie, named as Movie_Name (year). Inside that movie folder I have my video file with all the artwork and NFO files.

I would like to know if I can delete some of those files and have Infuse working still without problems.

Regarding Kodi documentation, it is needed the following files in order to work in Kodi:

\ Movies Folder
\ Movie_Name (year)
movie_name (year).mkv
movie_name (year).nfo
movie_name (year)-poster.jpg
movie_name (year)-fanart.jpg
\ Movie_Name (year)
movie_name (year).mkv
movie_name (year).nfo
movie_name (year)-poster.jpg
movie_name (year)-fanart.jpg

Right now, for earch "movie" I have the following files into each movie folder:

movie_name (year).mkv
movie_name (year).nfo
movie_name (year)-poster.jpg
movie_name (year)-fanart.jpg
fanart.jpg
movie.nfo
poster.jpg
folder.jpg

I would like to know If I can delete some of those files, and work only with the ones required by Kodi.

That would mean to delete this files: fanart.jpg, movie.nfo, poster.jpg, folder.jpg

I have read this article regarding Infuse Metadata:

https://support.firecore.com/hc/en-us/articles...

This is the differences I have seen in the naming conventions.
Poster: movie_name (year)-poster.jpg vs movie_name(year).jpg
Fanart: movie_name (year)-fanart.jpg vs movie_name-fanart.jpg
NFO File: movie_name (year).nfo vs movie_name.nfo

So, my questions are the following:
1. Can I use just Kodi needed files and have infuse to work without problems?
2. Is it neccesary into Infuse to have folder.jpg? Or it will be valid to have just the poster file?

Thanks in advanced. If I can have just 4 files per movie (movie, poster, fanart & nfo) instead of 8 files (as I have right now) I will be able to delete a lot of unnecessary files.
Sure, the best way will be to have as it is required by Kodi, and having Infuse to work without problems with that files structure.

To sum up... Will infuse work with this folder structure withouth problems?

\ Movies Folder
\ Movie_Name (year)
movie_name (year).mkv
movie_name (year).nfo
movie_name (year)-poster.jpg
movie_name (year)-fanart.jpg
