I also name my movies like this: Gladiator [2000].mp4 instead of Gladiator (2000).mp4. Does that make a difference to Infuse or do I need to be using parenthesis ()?

It doesn’t matter. I leave the year out unless it’s a specific version ie: Dumbo 2019.mkv

I personally add the year to every movie, just in case I get a new movie with the same name and then I never have to "Edit" the file to pick the right one.

Apple TV 4, Apple TV 3, iPhone Xs, iMac 5k, iPad Pro, Airport Extreme, Airport Express, Synology DS916+
