I have begun to have (2) NEW Playback Problems with Infuse on an Apple TV 4K that I did not have last week.

I have Updated to the Latest Version of tvOS.

I am not aware of any Infuse Upgrade having taken place.

The same very High Quality Fiber Optic HDMI Cables linking the Apple TV 4K to my Sennheiser Ambeo Soundbar which acts as an AVR and then to my JVC 4K Projector.

PROBLEM #1 - Very Slow Transition Out of the Playing File
When I click MENU to Exit the currently 4K Playing File, there is a long 10-15 Second Black Screen Delay before the Movies Info Screen appears.

PROBLEM #2
When I launch a 4K Movie File for play back the Audio starts promptly but with a Black Screen followed 10-15 Seconds later by the Picture.

Neither of these problems existed 7 days ago.

Thank you in advance for any insight and assistance.

Are you saying the recent Apple tvOS Update broke some things?

Can we Roll-Back to the previous version?

You may want to try the new release of Infuse and see if that may help first before you try to roll back tvOS. The latest is 6.3.3.

I don't think it's possible for a user to roll back the os on ATV4K and not real easy to do it on the ATV4.

I have been running INFUSE 6.3.3 since it was released.

ATV4K's tvOS Update is the likely culprit.

Is anyone else suffering these (2) Problems?

Please provide any feedback you can.

Thanks.

We haven't seen these issues here, but if this happens again can you send in a report from your Apple TV (Infuse > Settings > Submit Diagnostics) and post the 5 digit code you see here?

Infuse 6 for iOS and Apple TV is now available!

I installed 13.4 on TVOS and on my Infus Pro 6.3.3 did not see any problems.
Tested on Gemini Men 60fps 4K UHD

Sounds more like you have enabled "match frame rate" now and it was disabled previously. JVC projectors are notoriously slow for HDMI handshake, which is what happens when you go from 60p interface to 24p movie and vice versa.

Are you referring to the Apple TV 4K Settings when you say "match frame rate"?

Thanks, it worked!

But, shouldn't I want/expect the JVC NX7 to operate correctly with the ATV4K "match frame rate" Function/Feature?

Every tv/device is different. Check for firmware updates.

I know with some players you can specify a delay to wait before beginning playback so your device has time to switch the frame rate. My oled starts playing audio before the video unless I specify a 2 second delay in Kodi (it works perfectly for infuse for some reason).

Its operating correctly. As I said, JVC is known for this to take quite some time. I had a JVC projector for years and know that this can be annoying Frown

It actually caused the Lens to Shift up and down hunting for the proper Lens Setting.
