As the header says.  Or has someone already updated for the new OS upgrade and got Seas0npass working with it...

Yes.

But we all know it's based on the iOS 5.1 used on all the other iOS devices as well.

That being said, I resisted the urge to post something like this yesterday but figured I'd go ahead unless someone beat me to the punch.

So far, it looks like there are already working jailbreaks for 5.1, so Firecore will likely use one of those to work their Seas0n Pass magic in a short while.

+1 on the jailbreak.  Although it looks to be much more than that.  With the revamped interface, FC is going to need to change their stuff as well.

IIRC, the JB for iOS 5 on the earlier devices (4, 3GS, iPad 1) came fairly quickly.  Something about the newer hardware made it difficult.  Hopefully that doesn't continue here.

The good news is that it appears to be the same chip as the current Apple TV which could mean it wont be much to find an untethered solution.

No, the atv3 is a single-core A5 chip used only in the atv3.

Where should we look for the new fix?

I have an Apple TV 2 with 4.4.4 but cannot JB it.

I hope this gets resolved soon.

from what I understand from my reading is that the ATV3 may be the hardest thing apple has put out to JB . everyone just has to be patient. if a fix comes out im sure you will hear about it all over the net . everyone will just have to be patient
