Infuse 5.8 - Seek and Find

Today we're rolling out a little 5.8 update with a long-awaited feature: Live preview scrubbing. 🙌

Live preview scrubbing

Infuse will now display a small thumbnail while seeking forward or back through your videos, making it much easier to find the exact scene you are looking for. Live preview scrubbing is available on both iOS and Apple TV, and works with all video and network share types.

Infuse 5.7 - Oh, Oh, Oh It's Magic

Some things in life are worth waiting for, but now there's no need to wait any longer.

Today we're very excited to roll out Infuse 5.7 with our all-new, native Plex integration! We're also introducing a new design for Apple TV which we think is pretty fantastic too. More info on both can be seen below.

Infuse + Plex = 🧡

Some say it's a match made in heaven, others say it's simply magic – whatever you want to call it, our friends using Plex can now access videos (while home or away) and keep libraries, metadata, artwork, and watched history all in sync. Also, thanks to Infuse's robust codec support, you'll be able to enjoy videos in their full, original quality (including glorious 4K HDR and lossless audio). No transcoding required – just browse, play, and enjoy!

Fall is the air, leaves are changing, snow is on the horizon...and Infuse 5 is getting some excitng new improvements in a huge new update.

A fresh new look

Introducing the all-new Infuse with a fresh new look built around the videos you love. We've taken the best parts of Infuse, rebuilt them from the ground up using modern frameworks, and made many other fine adjustments to get things just right. And of course, 5.6 looks great on the shiny new iPhone X.

Ready for X

Infuse, ATV 4K, and iPhone X - Oh My!

Some pretty amazing new things were announced today in Cupertino - Apple TV 4K, iPhone 8, iPhone X, and more! These new devices look fantastic, and we can't wait to get our hands on them to see what they can really do.

So what's new?

Among other things, the new Apple TV 4K and iPhone X will both support 4K resolution, HEVC video, High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Dolby Vision.

According to Apple...

“4K gives you a crisper picture using four times more pixels than standard HD. High Dynamic Range (HDR) delivers brighter, more realistic colors and greater detail. From the hottest new movie to your favorite TV show, everything is more lifelike than ever.”

ISO, VIDEO_TS, and .dvdmedia - oh my!

DVD file support has been one of the top feature requests since we launched Infuse for Apple TV in late 2015. Now you can dust off that pile of old DVD backups and let Infuse work its magic to turn them into the makings of a great movie night. Just browse, play, and enjoy.

Infuse 5.1 - Search & Collections

The latest version of Infuse for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV is here, and it brings with it some pretty awesome things we think you're going to love. Here's a quick rundown of what's new...

Movie collections

Infuse now automagically tidies up your Library by grouping sequels into collections. Can't remember the name of the second Fast and Furious movie, or the third Bond film with Sean Connery? Wonder no more - just search or browse for a collection and all titles will be grouped together and ordered by their release date. Boom! Collections are available in all existing Library categories, or through the new dedicated Collections section - which may come in handy if you're looking for a full series to binge on.
