tvOS 11.3 Beta 1 Release Notes?

Fix confirmed for 5.6.8.

THANKS!!!

will 5.6.8 update support Dolby Vision pass through?

thanks

When is 5.6.8 coming?
With the latest ATV 4K beta, Infuse Pro is not working due to rectangle displaying on screen and static audio.
Itā€™s not usable and did pay for great features. Help!

Since the 11.3 Beta Infuse Pro is no longer useful. For the 4K videos, the bar is in the middle and no DTS works anymore! only rushing ā€¦ is it the beta now? Are not you testing the betas from Apple? Thank you

James mentioned a few posts back that the HDR bug is fixed in the new version of Infuse.

Also, letā€™s keep a little perspective: we are using a beta version of tvOS. We cannot expect that our apps will work right - thatā€™s the choice we make. By the time tvOS 11.3 is out of beta, Iā€™m sure Infuse will work just fine with it.

Bingo!

I found no any solution to downgrade tvOS on atv 4K to 11.2, and I have no hdr now. Niceā€¦

No downgrade possible

Thatā€™s why betaā€™s shouldnā€™t be normally used, especially beta 1ā€™s from Apple.

Not true.

Not easy either. Apple Beta ā€” FAQ toward the bottom ā€œHow do I restore a prior shipping release of iOS, macOS, or tvOS?ā€.

Curious as to why one would participate in a beta program without knowing how to get back to square one since they call it ā€œbetaā€ for a reason.

Riding the bleeding edge of technology can be a bear.

Itā€™s actually impossible for an end user with an Apple TV 4K to downgrade as it doesnā€™t have a USB Port to restore via iTunes. Please read the advice you are linking to before posting.

The only way to downgrade a beta on an Apple TV 4K according to that page is by contacting support, which usually means you will be returning it for a downgrade, or you have to wait for the next Public Release.

Same goes for the Apple Watches unless you buy some specialised hardware to connect to the hidden data port and even then itā€™s a complex process.

i have the same problem! :frowning:
Hope they fix this soon ??

Just out of curiosity, what is this screen with the bar used for. I assume it has to do with HDR optimization? My inner nerd is interested.

And yes, all of us that installed the beta, we did this at our own risk. I think infuse was pretty quick with confirming the fix, we just have to wait for the release. I for one will disable beta releases.

Good to hear that a fix is coming. I have been so stupid to install the beta. And there is no option to downgrade the apple tv 4k. Is a date known when the fix is available.

Probably a few weeks at least on the Infuse side. Apple could fix it on their side next beta like they always mess up passthrough audio and then fix it a few betas in.

people! donā€™t install beta releases!

Well if we donā€™t install beta, we will not catch the bugs before release.

Do install beta on own risk, but do not complain if stuff doesnā€™t work ā€¦ be patient and wait for the fix.

Hello! I have exactly the same problem with Infuse, with HDR video. TV OLED 55C7V

Iā€™ve got the rectangle as well. It seems to me the small rectangle actually has the correct colours. Itā€™s visible when pausing, the rectangle goes ā€œfull screenā€, and thatā€™s how I remembered the picture of those movies. Otherwise it is too washed.

Also in Amazon Prime Video I am quite sure the image in 11.2.5 used to be darker. Now whatever I try I canā€™t get a satisfying picture in HDR. Hopefully a new tvOS beta will be released soon.
