Infuse 8.5 - Smarter Streaming

We’re excited to announce that Infuse 8.5 is available today, bringing new streaming options, better media server support, and a handful of thoughtful refinements to iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, and Vision Pro. This release introduces transcoding options for Plex, Emby, and Jellyfin, along with improved search results, media server updates, and enhancements to WebDAV and media server connections. Together, these updates make Infuse even more flexible, reliable, and enjoyable to use with all your favorite videos. Transcoding options for Plex, Emby, and Jellyfin Infuse has long been known for its ability to directly play almost any video format, but there are times when streaming the original file isn’t ideal—especially when watching remotely, using a slower connection, or playing higher-bitrate videos away from home. With Infuse 8.5, new transcoding options are available for Plex, Emby, and Jellyfin. These options allow Infuse to request an optimized stream from your media server when needed, helping reduce buffering and improve playback reliability when bandwidth is limited. Direct Play remains the best option whenever possible, but these new controls provide added flexibility when a smaller, server-optimized stream makes more sense.

Infuse 8.4 - Extras, Intros, and Favorites

We’re pleased to announce that Infuse 8.4 is available today, bringing a host of powerful new features and improvements to iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, and Vision Pro. This release introduces support for browsing and playing extras, community-powered skipping for intros and credits, home screen favorites on more devices, and a major upgrade to Infuse’s playback core. Together, these updates make enjoying your library in Infuse better than ever before! Extras, deleted scenes, trailers, and more Infuse 8.4 adds support for browsing and playing a variety of additional local content for movies and TV shows, including deleted scenes, featurettes, shorts, trailers, and more. These extras can be pulled from Emby, Jellyfin, and Plex or from directly connected folders, network shares, and cloud services. When available, these extras will appear directly on the title’s details page, making it easy to discover and enjoy even more from your library without ever having to leave Infuse. Infuse 8.3 - Immersive Mode: ON

We’re thrilled to announce that Infuse 8.3 is available today, which includes a major leap forward for Apple Vision Pro users — plus some other great features and improvements for everyone! Immersive Environments on Apple Vision Pro Starting with version 8.3, Infuse lets you drop into one of Infuse’s all-new Immersive Environments, which include: Cinema, Room, Space, Sunset, and Void (pure black). These environments aren’t just decorative — they let you fully enjoy the content and setting around you, so your movie night isn’t just on a screen; it’s in the room. Each environment includes a set of customizable settings allow things like screen size, screen angle, seating position, and more to be fine-tuned to perfection. And the best part? All the Infuse features you love (broad format support, subtitles, metadata fetching, and streaming from network shares) now fold seamlessly into this new spatial experience.

Infuse 8.2 - Summer of Love

We’re excited to announce that Infuse 8.2 is available today, bringing a host of powerful new features to iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, and Vision! Multiple user profiles The ability to use separate profiles is now available on Apple TV! With Infuse, each family member can enjoy a personalized setup—complete with custom home screen layouts, network shares, watched history, ratings, parental controls, and Trakt accounts. Profiles can also be linked to individual iCloud accounts, making it easier than ever to keep things in sync across devices. [Learn more] Note: tvOS 26 (pictured below), arriving this fall, introduces a streamlined experience with an optional profile selection prompt that appears whenever Apple TV wakes from sleep. Manual profile switching, available in tvOS 18, will remain supported in tvOS 26 as well.

Infuse 8.1 - New Foundations

Infuse 8.1 with some great new additions is now available for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, and Vision! Alphabet scrollbars The browsing experience has been rebuilt from the ground up for improved performance and reliability. In addition to being faster this lays the groundwork for some great new features, such as an alphabet scrollbar to quickly jump between sections while browsing. Note: The quick letter jump feature is available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV while browsing Infuse library categories as well as Plex. On Apple TV, the letter bar is hidden to start and will appear automatically when scrolling quickly through a list of videos.

Infuse 7.8 - Play Version

We’re very happy to announce the release of Infuse 7.8! Play version for Emby and Jellyfin Emby and Jellyfin users now have the ability to choose a specific version when beginning playback. This allows for optimized playback based on device and network conditions, if multiple versions of a video are present on the server.

Direct Mode for Emby, Jellyfin, and Plex Direct Mode is a new connection option in Infuse which provides a more seamless experience when using popular media servers. This allows Infuse to display native lists and collections, retrieve newly added titles in seconds, access up-to-date search results, and load even the largest library categories with blazing fast speed.

Infuse 7.6 - Aliyun Drive

The latest version of Infuse is here with some great new additions! Stream from Aliyun Drive（阿里云盘） Direct support for Aliyun Drive is now available in Infuse! Aliyun Drive is a popular cloud service available in China, and allows for accessing movies, TV shows, and other videos via a fast, native connection directly on your favorite devices. This new feature is available to all Pro users, and includes support for files stored in both private（备份盘）and shared（资源库）cloud disk folders. Note: Streaming from Aliyun Drive is available on all platforms (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Mac), but connections to cloud services need to be set up on iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Once this is done on a single device, the connection will then sync to other devices via iCloud.

You can now access a massive catalog of 250,000+ movie and TV show trailers and stream them with a simple tap directly within the app. Trailers are a great way to preview videos in your library for yourself or friends and family, allowing everyone to get a quick overview of the movie to see if it’s the right vibe. Trailers are available to all current Pro subscribers at no additional cost. 🙌 Pro tip: Access additional trailers and content by long-pressing the Trailer button.
